Poll: Which among these is your favorite top-tier phone in India?
Thanks to the emergence of various smartphone OEMs, consumers get the privilege of picking up a device of their own liking in any price segment they desire. The budget top-tier smartphone market, although predominantly dominated by OnePlus, has had competition from other emerging segment players. So if given a choice, which one of the smartphones would you go for – OnePlus 6, ASUS Zenfone 5Z, Vivo NEX or the Huawei Nova 3?
The OnePlus 6 is easily one of the most liked devices amongst all that has top-of-the-line specs and a great software experience going for it. On top of the internals, the beautiful aluminum & glass design is also strikingly beautiful. The 6.28-inch display is also one of the best Full HD OLED panels in the market.
ASUS also tried their hand at a ‘budget flagship’ with the ZenFone 5Z this year. The ZenFone 5Z also gets a Snapdragon 845 along with at least 6GB of RAM. ZenUI although has been improved a lot, still doesn’t feel as slick and fast as OxygenOS. But Asus’s aggressive pricing definitely makes the 5Z a really attractive phone. The base model is available at INR 29,999, while the 8GB and 128GB version goes for just INR 35,999. Quite a deal if you compare it with the OnePlus 6.
Vivo has truly made some real innovations in the world of smartphones this year. The Vivo NEX is the representative of all the R&D that has been going on in their labs in China. The NEX is the first phone to truly ditch all its bezels to provide for a display that covers the entire front of the phone and a first ‘popping camera’. The 6.59-inch display provides for probably the most immersive smartphone experience yet. The phone also employs some great looks which adds to the overall appeal.
The Huawei Nova 3 although probably the least hyped phone of all, still has quite a lot going for it. The phone is touted to have AI capabilities that help from automatic scene switching in the camera to helping you shop on Amazon via images. Unlike any phone on this list, the Nova 3 has 4 cameras (2 on each side) to get some great pictures. It also comes with a massive capacity of 128GB with 6GB of RAM at INR 34,999.
So with a healthy mix of phones varying in either software, camera tech and looks, which one would you select?
