Realme is launching a flagship phone; a Poco F2 competitor

The Realme flagship will be the only phone to challenge Poco’s price-to-performance ratio

A phone from Realme was recently spotted on the TENAA website. The phone with the model number ‘RMX1901’ is expected to be a flagship phone that will compete with the likes of the Poco F1 and the upcoming Poco F2 (also known as Redmi 2 Pro).

The Realme flagship phone will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 that is found on phones like the Samsung Galaxy S10, the Nubia Red Magic 3 and even the upcoming OnePlus 7. If this is true, then the phone will exactly be in the line of the upcoming Poco F2 that will have a Snapdragon 855 at a really affordable price tag.

As spotted on TENAA

The Realme flagship is said to offer a 48-megapixel camera (either the Sony or Samsung sensor), something, that we’ve also seen on phones like the Redmi Note 7 Pro, the Vivo V15 Pro and the OPPO F11 Pro.

The phone will have a 6.5-inch FullHD+ display without any notch. This means that the phone will most likely adopt a pop-up camera mechanism as we’ve seen on the OPPO F11 Pro.

This is also in line with a promo video that was unveiled by Realme that shows off a fully bezel-less phone with a pop-up camera.

The phone most likely won’t have a fingerprint sensor like its younger siblings: the Realme 3 and the Realme 3 Pro. It will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner like the Samsung Galaxy A50.

Realme Flagship Price

The source that reported the phone also claimed that the price of the phone would be around 2,999 Yuan. This translate to around Rs 31,000 or $445.

Realme Flagship Launch Date

There is no official confirmation on the same. But since it has appeared on TENAA, we can expect the phone to launch in May or at least by June.
