Vivo V11 Pro Android Pie update expected to be released in February

Solid hardware bogged down by poor software support

Vivo is busy getting prepared for the launch of the next phone in its V series of budget flagships; the V15 Pro. The phone is about to get launched on the 20th of February at a launch event in Delhi. But for a lot of befuddled V11 Pro users, this news isn’t going down well. Because although Vivo is ready with its next phone, it still hasn’t managed to release the Vivo V11 Pro Android Pie update yet.

This is what Vivo said to Android Authority when they were asked for an expected timeline on the Android Pie update.

Designing for consumers’ needs continues to be Vivo’s top priority. Upgrading to the latest Android Pie operating system to deliver better mobile experience is therefore an area Vivo is working on bringing to consumers as soon as possible. Consumers can expect this update to come out in Q4 this year. We will keep you updated once we have more details to share.

In accordance to the above statement, Vivo announced its Android Pie closed beta program in December for four of their following devices: Vivo Nex S, Vivo Nex A, Vivo X21 and the Vivo X21 UD. While there is no official information on the Vivo V11 Pro update, we’re pretty sure it’s coming soon. Everyone waiting for the Android Pie update can soon expect more information on the launch of the Vivo V15 Pro. Android Pie for Vivo V11 Pro and other Vivo phones can be expected to be announced at the Vivo V15 Pro launch event.

Since the launch of the Vivo V15 Pro will attract media and public attention, it’s quite likely that they’ll reveal the expected timeline for Android Pie update for its phones like the Vivo V11 Pro and the Vivo V9 Pro.

Vivo V11 Pro was launched back in October of the last year. Like its predecessors in the V series, the V11 Pro also strived to give a bang for your budget with the help of its solid design language and powerful hardware. But what set the Vivo V11 Pro apart was its gorgeous AMOLED display and the addition of a fingerprint scanner under the display. And all that at a really attractive price of just INR 25,990. The soon-to-be-unveiled Vivo V15 Pro will have a 32-megapixel pop-up camera and is expected to be priced below INR 30,000.
