Xiaomi Redmi 4A 3GB/32GB variant announced in India

Xiaomi has announced a new variant of the hit budget Redmi 4A in India today.

The new variant comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage compared to 2GB & 16GB respectively. And that’s about the only difference, rest everything remains the same.

The Redmi 4A sports a 5-inch display and is powered by a Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor. The processor is paired with Adreno 308 GPU. Apart from the 32GB of internal storage, the storage can be expanded via a microSD card.

In the camera department, the 4A has a 13MP camera at the back with an aperture of f/2.2 and LED flash. The front facing shooter has a 5MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 too. The camera produces decent pictures for this price range.

The phone runs on MIUI 8 which is based on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.  The phone supports dual-sim with VoLTE. The phone is backed by a 3120 mAh which offers great battery life for the 5 inch phone.

The new variant costs Rs 6,999 compared to the Rs 5,999 price tag for the older 2GB/16GB variant. The phone goes on sale on 31st August and will be made available via Amazon, Paytm, Xiaomi Store and Tata Cliq.
