Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was the top selling smartphone in India in 2017

Things are looking bright for Xiaomi in India. After securing the top spot in India for Q4 2017, the company managed to grab top two spots in the best selling smartphone list in India.

Unsurprisingly, the Redmi Note 4 got the gold medal followed by yet another sibling Redmi 4. Announced back in February, the Redmi Note 4 gave the lowest price to specs ratio throughout the year and single handily pushed up the  ASP (Average Selling Price) of smartphone in India.

The top 10 list contains four smartphones from Samsung, three from Xiaomi, two from Vivo and one from Oppo. The Galaxy J series continuous to be saving grace for the Korean giant against the Chinese rivals.

Xiaomi looks to continue to momentum with the recent price deduction in Redmi series of smartphones and the upcoming Redmi Note 5 launch in the next month.
