Redmi has confirmed the launch date for the standard Redmi K100 — the phone will be announced on 28 October 2026. The company has already published teasers revealing the design and several core specifications, and a Geekbench listing published ahead of the event adds benchmark and memory details.
What Redmi has revealed so far
Redmi says the K100 will use a 6.83‑inch AMOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. The display will be assisted by a dedicated D2 display chip that Redmi says is tuned for gaming. The company has highlighted a 50‑megapixel main camera, an in‑display fingerprint sensor and an IP68 dust‑ and water‑resistance rating. Colour options include Firefly Green among others.
Battery capacity is the headline feature: Redmi is equipping the K100 with a 10,000mAh cell. That makes the standard model larger than the previously released Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, which carry 8,580mAh and 9,070mAh batteries respectively.
Performance, software and benchmark details
A Geekbench 7 listing associated with the model number Xiaomi M786BC shows scores of 2,705 in single‑core and 9,885 in multi‑core tests, and indicates 16GB of RAM and Android 17. Redmi has said the phone will run HyperOS 4.
Redmi has confirmed the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Last year’s Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max shipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5; Redmi distinguishes the standard K100 by emphasising the larger battery and the D2 display chip.

Availability and India context
Redmi opened pre‑orders in China ahead of the official unveiling. The company has not confirmed whether or when the standard K100 will be launched in India; the starting text notes that the India launch remains murky, similar to the earlier K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max models. No Indian prices or local availability details have been announced.
Given Redmi’s history of selectively bringing Pro and standard series variants to international markets, Indian buyers should await a formal announcement for pricing, local specifications and support for features such as network bands and warranty. The October 28 event will provide full official specifications and any regional availability statements.
