The OnePlus 6T box has been leaked! Waterdrop notch and indisplay fingerprint scanner in tow

As a OnePlus 6 owner, I am sad....

The OnePlus 6 was probably the most recommended phone of the year (at least until the Pocophone F1 was launched), for the right reasons. It gave a very premium phone, with best-in-class performance, great cameras, and Dash charging! All of that for a price of around $500. Staying true to their twice-a-year refresh cycle, the OnePlus 6T shouldn’t be far behind, and today we get our first look at the box of the upcoming flagship killer, along with a few notable observations.

A very cool inclusion on the box of the OnePlus 6T is the mention of the top fans from the community, on the inner lining of the box to show their respect for the customers. The front of the phone is embossed on the box, which reveals 2 key features: a tiny waterdrop notch, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It seems like OnePlus has finally found a way to make the fingerprint scanning fast enough (as that was the reason it did not make it to the OnePlus 6T). As expected, this phone does borrow cues from the OPPO F9 (waterdrop notch) and the Vivo V11 Pro (in-display fingerprint scanning).

Other expected specifications are a Snapdragon 845 with 6 or 8GB of RAM, a battery of 3,300 mAH or more, Dash charging/Warp charging, dual cameras on the back, a headphone jack, Face unlock, a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with OpticAMOLED technology, water resistance and a snappy build of OxygenOS. What is yet to be determined is the pricing of the device, and if it will continue the trend of more expensive phones with each iteration. This is personally a very exciting device, to fight with the other major launches of the year like the Pixel 3, Note9, the new iPhones and the Huawei Mate 20. This will also be one of those few mainstream phones with a fingerprint scanner under the display. We can now expect more information about the phone in the coming days. We estimate the phone to launch sometime in November with events around the World.
