Samsung Electronics has announced the Galaxy Buds On, the first clip‑style wireless earbuds in the Galaxy Buds lineup, and will launch them in South Korea on 27 October 2026. The company said the earbuds will be sold in a single colour—black—at a price of 299,000 won, through Samsung.com, open‑market platforms and Samsung Stores across South Korea.

Design, features and software integration

The Galaxy Buds On adopt an open‑ear clip design that sits on the outer ear rather than sealing the ear canal. Samsung says the shape‑memory alloy build lets the clips flex to match an individual’s ear shape, securing the buds during exercise and reducing pressure associated with in‑canal tips. Because they do not block the ear canal, Samsung positions the product for listeners who want to remain aware of their surroundings while using earbuds for extended periods.

Samsung lists the following key features:

  • Twin Boost speakers for enhanced bass and fuller sound
  • Intelligent Clear Call technology to reduce sound leakage and support clearer voice calls
  • Open‑ear design made with shape‑memory alloy for a flexible, secure fit
  • Hands‑free Galaxy AI functions when paired with a compatible Galaxy phone or tablet, including voice activation of an AI assistant, head gestures and Quick Voice Memo

Accessories for the Galaxy Buds On are compatible with the Galaxy Buds4 series, and Samsung is offering buyers who purchase the earbuds by 30 November 2026 two 30% discount coupons for Galaxy Buds accessories redeemable on Samsung.com in South Korea.

“The Galaxy Buds On will offer a new option for consumers who want to stay aware of their surroundings while listening to music. We hope you will visit an offline store, including a Samsung Store, to experience their comfortable fit and rich sound for yourself,” Jung Hojin, vice president of Samsung Electronics Korea, said

What it means for India

The announcement is currently limited to South Korea; Samsung has not announced a launch date, price or availability for India. Indian buyers interested in clip‑style or open‑ear earbuds should note that the product’s marketed accessories, sales promotions and official pricing are specified for the South Korean market only. If Samsung later brings the Galaxy Buds On to other markets, price and offers for India would be announced by Samsung Electronics India.

For Indian readers, the main takeaways are the new form factor in Samsung’s mainstream earbuds line and the Galaxy AI integrations that depend on pairing with supported Galaxy devices. Open‑ear and clip‑style earbuds are gaining attention globally as alternatives to in‑ear sealed designs; whether Samsung chooses to sell the Galaxy Buds On in India will determine their availability to local buyers and any India‑specific pricing or offers.
